Summer Tutoring to Prepare for Next Year

 

Star Scholars Program

 

A personally tailored program for students and parents who want next school year to start well, stay well, and be free of test and overall anxiety. This program features 1-on-1 tutoring, flexibility with scheduling, available in-home practice tests and exams. It is designed to offset summer skill loss and focuses on content and study skills. This is an intensive 5 week course but can be modified by meeting more frequently during the week. Detailed study plans, progress reports, and continuous evaluation are keys to this program. SAT, ACT, GRE, MCAT (Verbal), LSAT, SSAT, ISEE, and GMAT tutoring are all available.

 

5 weeks, 3 hours per week $700

 

Enriched Scholars Program

 

This program is for gifted, talented, and motivated students who wish to be challenged and who may have found regular school coursework to be tedious. It is designed to reignite a passion for learning, a drive for knowledge acquisition, and a sense of wonder in students. The focus of this program is to mold mathematics, science, and history into a unified course of study to help students see the when, how, and why of these interrelated fields. Students will be trained to pose questions, research answers, and communicate verbally and with writing to share and display ideas and solutions. This course is designed to develop explorers and scholars of note.

 

5 weeks, 2 hours per week $600

 

New Scholars Program

 

The program is an intensive 4 week, 3 hours per week focus on specific course review with an emphasis on reading and math skills needed for the upcoming school year. Foundational skills, study skills, test taking skills, and confidence boosters are emphasized, particularly for 8 – 11 graders.
