Ira Danzig, Teacher and Private Tutor

Ira Danzig graduated from The Citadel in Charleston, SC with a Bachelors in Psychology in 1975. He then went on to attend Mississippi State University and Georgia State University and received masters in Science and Economics respectively. Realizing his love for working with students and mathematics, he became an educator at Mill Springs Academy in 1986 and began his own tutoring business for high school math. In 1998, Mr. Danzig began teaching middle school math at Torah Day School of Atlanta, gaining new perspectives on teaching and expanding his tutoring business to also reach students seeking help in science, social studies, and reading in addition to mathematics. He also began working with special needs students, giving him a great deal of experience and passion for assisting students with learning disabilities. In 2003, he was promoted to Lead Teacher and oversaw the Torah Day Math Department including elementary mathematics.

With over 25 years of experience, Mr. D (as he is fondly called by his students) has excelled as a teacher and tutor, helping students exponentially improve their test scores, excel in the classroom and towards their goals of success in higher education, and develop the tools necessary to become a life long learner.
